BMI Summer Program

Boston Music Institute is excited to announce BMI Summer Program (BSP), our annual summer program for musical advancement taking place from June 23-29th, 2025. Students will rapidly enhance their musical skills through masterclasses taught by esteemed musicians. BSP will hold a culminating performance at the end of the program to showcase students' skills.
Auditions and Eligibility
The BMI Summer Program is open to string players aged 10 -18 years old, divided into respective Junior and Senior Ensembles. Students must submit a placement audition clip to be considered. Upon reviewing their audition clips, students will be notified of which ensemble level they have placed into. Please adhere to the following audition guidelines.
Students are required to submit a video clip of two contrasting pieces/movements not exceeding a total of 15 minutes. Please submit your video clip via email to info@bostonmi.org. Include your name, instrument, grade, and the name of your repertoire in your submission email. Please contact us about any questions regarding the audition process.

On each day of the program, BSP will host esteemed musicians to lead a two-hour masterclass. Below is the Schedule of Masterclasses. Masterclasses will be provided for solo repertoire and chamber music.

Dates, Location, and Tuition
The program will be held from June 23 - June 29, 2025 at the First Parish Church in Bedford, Massachusetts. Our regular program will run from 9AM to 4:45PM from Monday to Friday, with the weekend reserved for the dress rehearsal and concert. The dress rehearsal will be held on Saturday, June 28 from 1PM to 5PM. The final concert is on Sunday, June 29 from 6PM to 8PM. Late-pickup at 5:30PM will be offered for an additional $18 per day.
There is a $30 non-refundable Placement Audition Fee. The placement audition will determines your ensemble level.
The Tuition Fee is $1,080. Financial aid is limited and will be reviewed upon a case by case basis. Please contact info@bostonmi.org for scholarship inquiries.
