BMI International Competition

Violin, Viola, Cello

Boston Music Institute's International Music Competition has four categories.

 

Winner will receive a $1,000 USD cash prize and a live stream performance. Applications open on March 1, 2024 and close at 11:59pm EST on May 1, 2024.

Categories

Four categories divided by age

Young Star

6-9 years old

Junior Virtuoso

10-13 years old

Virtuoso

14-17 years old

Master

18-22 years old

Award Tiers

 

Bronze, silver, and gold medalists will be awarded with peromance opportunities and a masterclass with a member of the jury. 

Gold: Cash prize of $1,000 USD, live stream concert performance, private lesson with judge of choice

Silver: Live stream concert performance, private lesson with judge of choice

Bronze: Live stream concert performance, private lesson with judge of choice

Finalists: All finalists will received finalist certificates and trophies of recognition.

Requirements

 

Applicants are required to submit 2 contrasting pieces. The duration of the clip must not exceed 15 minutes. Clips are to be submitted as unlisted videos to Youtube in order to be considered. There is an $80 USD application fee.
